Islamic University of Science and Technology, Kashmir has issued Detailed Advertisement Notice No. 01 of 2026 dated 01 January 2026 inviting online applications from eligible candidates for Assistant Professor and Associate Professor posts in various Departments and Centres of the University.

The appointments shall be governed by UGC Regulations 2018 (as amended), University Statutes and Executive Council norms. Eligibility Criteria of IUST Kashmir Teaching Recruitment

Associate Professor	Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks, Ph.D in relevant discipline, minimum 8 years teaching or research experience as per UGC Regulations 2018, required publications and research score
Assistant Professor	Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks in relevant subject with NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D as per UGC Regulations 2018
Discipline Specific Posts	Prescribed qualifications and experience as per notification including Architecture, Planning, Geomatics, AI, AYUSH, Vocational Studies, Environment, Renewable Energy and Skill Development disciplines

Candidates must strictly fulfill academic and experience requirements as prescribed under UGC Regulations 2018. Only COA registered candidates are eligible for Architecture posts.

Selection and Shortlisting Process

Shortlisting for Assistant Professor posts will be done as per UGC Regulations 2018. For each post, 20 candidates will be shortlisted, and for every additional post, 5 candidates will be shortlisted. Final selection will be through interview following University and UGC norms.

How to Apply

Candidates must submit the application form online through the University website within the prescribed time. After successful online submission, applicants must submit a hard copy of the application along with self-attested supporting documents to the Office of the Registrar.

Applications without hard copy submission shall not be considered. Candidates must attach category certificates, experience certificates and all required documents as per instructions.
