IUST Kashmir Junior Technical Assistant / CNC Operator Post Notification 2025

Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Kashmir, Department of Mechanical Engineering, has announced openings for the post of Junior Technical Assistant / CNC Operator. The appointment will be purely on a contractual basis for six months, offering a monthly consolidated salary of ₹29,200. The position is open to domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per the official notification, applicants must hold a Diploma or B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and have at least two years of relevant experience. Candidates must also possess specific technical skills related to CNC/VMC machines and programming. Selection will be carried out through a written test or interview as notified later.

Eligible applicants can submit their online applications via the university’s website from 15 August 2025 until 29 August 2025. After submitting online, candidates must send the hard copy of the form along with the required documents by 1 September 2025 to the Office of the Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IUST.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for this position must have a Diploma or B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade point average. A minimum of two years of experience in handling CNC/VMC machines and programming is required. Applicants should have skills in using machine tools and accessories, tool setting, calibration, and knowledge of CNC control systems such as SIEMENS and FANUC. They should also be capable of precise machine adjustments for optimal performance. The maximum age limit and relaxation are as per university norms.
