IUST Junior Research Fellow Post 2025 At FRIIS – Apply By 13 July

The Frontier Research Institute of Interdisciplinary Sciences (FRIIS), Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, has invited applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the PM-ECRG scheme. The selected candidate will work on the research project titled “PDAC Tumor Cells Evade CD8 T Cell Cytotoxicity via NLRC5-Mediated Downregulation of MHC-I Pathway.”

The post is purely temporary and will be initially offered for one year, extendable based on performance and availability of funds. The engagement will be governed by the university and funding agency rules.

As per the official advertisement, the selected JRF will receive a consolidated monthly fellowship of Rs. 37,000 plus HRA as per university guidelines. The post is based at FRIIS, 3rd Floor, Academic Block XI, IUST, Awantipora.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Clinical Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Bioinformatics selection through any one of the following:
a) CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
b) National level exams conducted by central government departments/agencies like DST, DBT, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISER, etc.

Desirable: Experience in tissue culture, genome editing, and mice handling will be preferred.

Selection Process:
