Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Kashmir has issued Detailed Advertisement Notice No. 04 of 2025 dated 31 December 2025 inviting online applications from eligible candidates for non-teaching administrative posts. The recruitment is being conducted as per UGC Regulations, University Statutes, and Jammu & Kashmir Civil Service Rules as amended from time to time.

Eligibility Conditions

Finance Officer

Essential Qualification:

• Master’s degree with at least 55 percent marks or equivalent grade.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in universities, higher education institutions, PSUs, government organizations, or financial administration roles as specified in the notification.

Eligible experience includes:

• Teaching and research roles with prescribed academic levels and administrative experience.
• Service as Finance Officer or equivalent administrative positions.
• Group ‘A’ officers in PSUs, Public Sector Banks, or Financial Institutions with required experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, MBA (Finance), CA, ICWA, or Actuarial Science with 60 percent marks.
• Experience in financial management systems, university ERP, accounting software, GFR-2017, and NEP 2020.

Deputy Registrar

Essential Qualification:

• Master’s degree with at least 55 percent marks.
• Required academic or administrative experience as per UGC norms.
• Jammu and Kashmir domicile is mandatory.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Law, Management, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or Engineering with 60 percent marks.

Deputy Finance Officer

Essential Qualification:

• As per University and UGC norms for administrative and financial roles.
• Jammu and Kashmir domicile is mandatory.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Financial Management, Commerce, MBA (Finance), Economics, or Actuarial Sciences.
• CA or ICWA qualification preferred.
• Experience in financial management systems, ERP, accounting software, GFR-2017, and NEP 2020.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 55 years as on 01 January 2026.

Selection Procedure

• The University may conduct a written test depending on the number of applicants.
• Shortlisting criteria:
  “20 candidates shall be shortlisted for one post and 05 candidates for every additional post.”
• Final selection will be through interview and assessment as per University norms.

3. Submit the hard copy of the application form along with self-attested copies of all required documents to the Office of the Registrar, IUST, before the last date.

Applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted.

• Submission of hard copy is mandatory.
• Original documents must be produced at the time of interview.
• No TA or DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Selected candidates will be governed by the New Pension Scheme, except eligible in-service candidates under OPS.
