Inward rake at new Chhann Arorian goods shed inaugurated

Jammu, Dec 14: A cement rake was loaded at Bharatgarh goods shed of Ambala division and dispatched to the newly constructed Chhann Arorian goods shed of Jammu Division on Sunday.

“Northern Railway’s Jammu Division is continuously striving to bring efficiency and speed to its freight network. In line with these efforts, a new goods shed was inaugurated on December 9, 2025, at Chhann Arorian railway station, located between Jammu and Kathua. This goods shed provides a smooth, efficient, and modern platform for both inward and outward movement of goods,” said Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM), Jammu Railway Division.

“Continuing this progress, today, December 14, 2025, a BCN cement rake was loaded at Bharatgarh goods shed of Ambala division and dispatched to the newly constructed Chhann Arorian goods shed of Jammu Division,” he informed.

Rake, according to Singhal, is expected to arrive at Chhann Arorian goods shed on December 15. “This will be the first inward rake after the inauguration of the goods shed. This goods shed will facilitate improved logistics movement in the commercial sector of Jammu and Kashmir,” Singhal said.
