
Indian Army has released the recruitment notification for Agniveer Intake 2027 under the Agnipath Scheme. Army Recruiting Office, Jammu invites online applications from unmarried male candidates.
Online registration will start from 13 February 2026 and will close on 01 April 2026. The Online Common Entrance Examination is tentatively scheduled from 01 June to 15 June 2026. Applications are invited from domiciles of Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Udhampur, Reasi, Poonch, Rajouri, Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts.
Candidates must check eligibility, age limit, height standards and other conditions before applying.

Agniveers will be enrolled under the Army Act 1950 for a period of four years. They will form a distinct rank and the Army is not obliged to retain them beyond four years.
Up to 25% of each batch may be enrolled into regular cadre based on performance and organisational requirements. There is no right to permanent enrolment.
Annual leave of 30 days per year and sick leave based on medical advice will be applicable.
Agniveers will receive medical facilities at Service Hospitals and CSD facilities during the engagement period.
They will not be eligible for pension, gratuity or Ex-Servicemen status.

After four years, approximately Rs 10.04 lakh will be paid as Seva Nidhi Package excluding interest. Life insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh will be provided during the engagement period.
The recruitment will be conducted in two phases.
Phase I: Online Common Entrance Examination.
Phase II: Recruitment Rally including Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test and Medical Examination.
Typing test of 30 words per minute in English is required for Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical during CEE.
The test includes 1.6 km run, pull ups, 9 feet ditch and zig-zag balance.
Marks are awarded based on running time and pull ups. Timings and marks can be changed by Indian Army before rally.
Candidates for Agniveer Technical only need to qualify in all tests.
An examination fee of Rs 250 per category is required. Payment will be made through HDFC portal using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking or UPI.
Incomplete or wrongly filled applications will be rejected.
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. They must not marry during the four year engagement period.
Candidates must carry Admit Card and AADHAR Card for exam and rally.
Recruitment is fair and based purely on merit. No bribe should be paid to anyone.
