Income Tax Department Srinagar & Jammu Hiring Special Public Prosecutors

The Income Tax Department, under the Office of the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Srinagar, has issued a notice inviting applications from eligible practicing advocates for empanelment as Special Public Prosecutors. These positions are for representing the department before the Session Courts and Subordinate Courts in the Jammu & Kashmir region.

As per the notification, applicants must be enrolled as members of the State Bar Council with good academic standing and relevant experience in criminal matters. Preference will be given to advocates with prior experience in dealing with Income Tax or Direct Tax matters. The engagement will be governed by the eligibility terms, conditions, and fee schedules as per Government of India instructions.
