IMD Warns of Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds in Jammu Kashmir, Other Regions | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

According to the IMD, similar weather conditions are expected in Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Rayalaseema and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

The weather agency further predicted thunderstorms with lightning over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka (south interior), and Kerala along with Mahe.

Meanwhile, hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail over Goa, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Puducherry, including Karaikal, as well as the Konkan region.

The IMD has advised residents in affected areas to remain cautious amid the possibility of lightning strikes and gusty winds.
