IIT Jammu Junior Research Fellow Post In Mathematics For ANRF Funded Project

Indian Institute of Technology Jammu has announced applications from eligible candidates for the Junior Research Fellow position in the Department of Mathematics. This opening is for a research project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation, New Delhi. The position is offered on a temporary basis and is linked to the duration of the project.

As per the official notification, the post is in the area of Algebraic Geometry. The appointment will be initially for one year and can be extended based on satisfactory performance. Selected candidates will receive a monthly consolidated salary of ₹37,000 plus 18% HRA. The upper age limit is 28 years with relaxations applicable for reserved categories as per rules. Applicants must have an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Mathematics and must have qualified GATE or CSIR-UGC NET.

Vacancy Details:

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying should hold an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Mathematics with at least 6 CGPA or 55% marks in aggregate in a full-time Master’s program from a recognized institution. They must have cleared GATE with a valid score or CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship. The upper age limit is 28 years with relaxation of up to 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, women, and physically handicapped candidates.
