IIT Jammu English Instructor Recruitment 2026, Check Eligibility And Apply Online

Indian Institute of Technology Jammu has released an official notification inviting online applications from eligible and enthusiastic candidates for the post of English Instructor.

The recruitment is purely on contract basis for a period of one year. Only applications submitted through the IIT Jammu online portal will be considered. Details related to eligibility, age limit, salary, application dates, and selection process are provided below.

Eligibility Criteria of IIT Jammu English Instructor Vacancy

Educational Qualification (Essential)
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in English Language Teaching, Communicative English, or English with at least 60 percent marks.
Candidates should have at least one year of English language teaching experience at UG or PG level. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Centrally Funded Technical Institutions.
Candidates must possess good communication, presentation, and innovative language teaching skills.

Desirable Qualification
ELT or TESOL certification.
B.Ed, M.Ed, or PhD in English Language Teaching, Communicative English, or English.
Fluency in South Indian languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, or Malayalam is preferred.
Experience of teaching in higher educational institutes is preferred.

Age Limit
Maximum age limit is 35 years.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will receive consolidated salary as given below.

The Institute may fix the salary lower or higher within the given range based on experience.

Application Fee

There is no application fee for submitting the application form.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be called for interaction evaluation or interview.
Mere possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee shortlisting.
Candidates must bring all original documents for verification at the time of interaction.

Application Submission Process

Candidates are required to apply online only through the IIT Jammu online portal under the “Contract Staff” section.
Incomplete applications will be rejected without any notice.
Candidates must provide details of 10th, 12th, graduation, and post-graduation qualifications.
Applications must be submitted between 14 January 2026 and 30 January 2026 up to 5:00 PM.
