IIM Jammu MBA programme awarded EFMD accreditation

Jammu, Jun 30: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has scripted a history by successfully attaining two prestigious international accreditations i.e., Business Graduates Association (BGA) and European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) for its flagship MBA programme – within a single year.

With this achievement, IIM Jammu has become the only IIM among second and third-generation IIMs and one of just five among the 21 IIMs across the country, to secure two international accreditations—underscoring its rapid ascent in the global higher education landscape.

“IIM Jammu proudly announces that our MBA programme has been awarded the prestigious EFMD Programme Accreditation—a major milestone in our journey. The decision was officially approved at the EFMD Board meeting in Austria. This achievement places IIM Jammu in an exceptional league. We are now the first among the second and third-generation IIMs and only the fifth IIM in the country, to earn two international accreditations,” stated Director, IIM Jammu Prof B S Sahay, while addressing a press conference at Artha Classroom, Vedanta MDP Block of IIM Jammu Jagti Campus on Monday.

EFMD accreditation is one of the most respected recognitions in the world of business education. “It reflects our dedication to high academic standards, global relevance, and continuous growth, Prof Sahay said.

Several key stakeholders and dignitaries including Prof Jabir Ali, Dean, Faculty and Research; Prof Nitin Upadhyay, Dean, Academics; Dr Gaana J, Chairperson, Accreditation; Prof Shyam Narayan Lal, Chairperson, Media and Communication; Dr Rashmi Ranjan Parida, Chairperson, MBA (HA & HM); Dr Archana Sharma, Chairperson, IPM; Dr Ashish Kumar, Chairperson, Student Affairs; Dr Prashant Mishra, Chairperson, International Relations; Dr V Rajkumar, co-chairperson, Accreditation Committee; Naveen Goyal, Member, Accreditation Committee; Dr Shreya Rastogi, Member, Accreditation Committee, IIM Jammu; Cmdr.
