ICAR-CITH Srinagar Walk-in Interview For Project Assistant Post On 24 July 2025

ICAR-Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (CITH), Srinagar has announced a walk-in interview for the post of Project Assistant. The position is temporary and will be offered on a contractual basis under the research project titled “Bioprospection of Rhizo-competent Macrobiotic of Apple Rootstocks and their application in soil borne disease management of temperate fruits”.

As per the official notification, the walk-in interview will be held on 24 July 2025 at 11:00 AM at ICAR-CITH, Rangreth, Srinagar. The engagement is initially for a period up to March 2026, or till the sanction of the project and availability of funds, whichever is earlier. The post carries a consolidated monthly emolument of Rs. 20,000.

Eligible candidates possessing the required qualifications must bring their original documents, experience certificates, publications (if any), and self-attested copies on the day of the interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Science (Life Science, Agriculture, Horticulture) is essential.

Desirable: Expertise in isolation of fungi, bacteria, molecular characterization of microorganisms, and computer applications.

Age Limit: Maximum age is 35 years. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/female candidates and 3 years for OBC is applicable.

Other Requirements: The candidate must not be engaged in any other assignment during the contractual engagement. Selected candidates will be engaged full-time on a purely temporary basis.
