Jammu, July 27: The J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), under its “AI in ICAI” initiative, successfully conducted a three-day Certificate Course on Artificial Intelligence for Chartered Accountants (AICA) – Level 1 at ICAI Bhawan, Canal Road, Jammu from July 25 to 27.
Designed to introduce members to foundational concepts of Artificial Intelligence and its practical relevance to the profession, the course featured intensive hands-on training, live tool demonstrations, and use-case-based group exercises. The sessions aimed at enhancing CA professionals’ understanding of AI applications in auditing, taxation, finance, and accounting.
Day 1 of the course was led by Dr. Sourabh Maheshwari, who provided insights into AI fundamentals, digital transformation, and natural language processing in audit and tax.
On Day 2, CA Rishir Soni introduced participants to machine learning concepts, data analytics, and AI-based fraud detection.
The concluding day featured CA Akhil Pachori, who covered AI project implementation, ethics, and future trends in accounting technology.
Chairman of the J&K Branch, CA Sourav Pargal, highlighted the importance of adapting to technological shifts and commended participants for their commitment. “Every chartered accountant today must integrate AI into their professional skillset to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving ecosystem,” he said.
