IB Security Assistant 2025 Notification Released For 4987 Vacancies Across India, Apply Online

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has released its latest notification for the recruitment of Security Assistant/Executive posts. A total of 4987 vacancies have been announced for this post across various categories. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for these positions from 26 July 2025 through the official portal of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

As per the notification issued on 22 July 2025, the Security Assistant post falls under the pay level Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100. Candidates must have passed Class 10 and possess knowledge of the local language. The selection process includes a written exam, descriptive test, interview, document verification, and medical examination.

Applicants must ensure they meet the eligibility conditions before applying. The last date to submit the online application is 17 August 2025. Application fees for General/OBC/EWS category is Rs. 650 and for SC/ST/PwD candidates, it is Rs. 550. All payments must be made online.

Descriptive Test:
Candidates will be required to translate a 500-word passage from the local language to English and vice versa. The test carries 50 marks and will be of 1-hour duration.
