The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has announced vacancies for temporary engagement of Research Assistants. Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill 4 positions and create a panel for future requirements valid until September 2025. Selected candidates will receive a consolidated honorarium of Rs. 40,000 per month.

As per the official notification, applicants must be domiciles of Jammu & Kashmir or residents of Ladakh, and should possess a Law degree with at least 55% marks. The upper age limit is 33 years as on 1 January 2025. The appointment will be purely contractual for one year, extendable by another year subject to approval.

The application process is online via the High Court’s official recruitment portal from 14 August 2025 to 26 August 2025. The prescribed application fee is Rs. 250. Shortlisted candidates will be selected based on the process defined in High Court guidelines, and no TA/DA will be provided for the interview.

Candidates should not have completed two years after enrolment as an Advocate. Final-year law students meeting the criteria may also apply. Knowledge of computers and legal research tools like Manupatra, SCC Online, and Westlaw is mandatory.
