Hideout Busted in North Kashmir, RPG Launcher Recovered

SRINAGAR: Security forces have claimed to have busted a militant hideout in the dense forests of Upper Durd Hafruda area of Kupwara district on Saturday.

Offical sources said that Chinar Warriors carried out a search operation in the general area of Upper Durd Hafruda forest during which a hideout was detected and destroyed.

They said a large quantity of war-like stores was recovered from the spot, including an RPG launcher and ammunition of AK-47 rifles etc.

“The operation was launched based on specific inputs and the recovered material indicates possible plans for major militant strikes,” sources said.
