Hideout busted in Kupwara, arms recovered

Srinagar, Aug 04: Security forces on Monday uncovered a terrorist hideout during a joint search operation in the Kalaroos area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, recovering arms, ammunition, and incriminating material.

The officials said that in a 3-day joint search operation in Kalaroos, Kupwara, the BSF, Army and J&K Police uncovered a stony cave on 04 Aug 2025.

During searches, the security forces recovered 12 Chinese grenades, Chinese pistol with ammunition, Kenwood radio set, Urdu IED manual & fire sticks from the hideout.

The officials held that the timely operation has “foiled a possible nefarious plan of terrorists in the area,” while stressing that joint forces remain committed to dismantling the terror network.
