
Doda, Sep 7: In line with the directives of the Health Secretary, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Director of Health Services Jammu Dr A H Zargar, and Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, the Health Department, under the leadership of Chief Medical Officer Dr Om Kumar, conducted a series of health camps at multiple locations across District Doda on Sunday.
This special initiative, as per official spokesperson was launched to provide essential medical check-ups, health screening, and relief services in response to the recent heavy rainfall and the post-flood situation impacting the district.
At 06 different locations, dedicated medical teams examined more than 261 patients, providing them with free medicines to address their health concerns. Additionally, ORS sachets and chlorine tablets were distributed to prevent dehydration and control the spread of waterborne diseases. Health awareness sessions were also held, focusing on promoting proper hygiene practices and emphasising the critical importance of using boiled or safe drinking water during this emergency.
The Health Department reiterated its firm commitment to ensuring the well-being of the people during this difficult period and urged all citizens to strictly adhere to preventive measures to safeguard their health.
