Greenend Heroes, Arco United play out thrilling 2–2 draw

Srinagar, Jul 14: The fifth fixture of the Khyber Cements Kashmir Super League 2025 lived up to expectations on Monday evening as Greenend Heroes FC and Arco United FC battled to a high-octane 2–2 draw at the TRC synthetic ground.

As per a statement issued, the ongoing mega football event is powered by Athwas Hyundai and supported by the J&K Sports Council.

The match began with early fireworks as Qaazim of Arco United FC opened the scoring in the initial minutes. However, Greenend Heroes FC responded quickly with an equaliser from Aqib, followed by a well-converted penalty by Basit Ahmad, putting Greenend in the lead. Arco United FC showed great resilience, and Moomin brought them back into the game with a crucial second-half goal, levelling the score at 2-2.

Arco United FC players received top honours for their individual performances, with the Game Changer of the Match award going to Moomin, the Man of the Match award to Qaazim, and the Golden Save award to Muzamil.

The post-match presentation ceremony was graced by dignitaries.

Kaiser Bhat from Downtown Heroes FC, Inam Bhat representing Athwas Hyundai, and Bashir Ahmad Malik, President of DFA Srinagar, who felicitated the standout performers of the game.

The statement added that tomorrow’s match will be played between Aqua Avengers FC and New JK United FC.
