
Rajouri, Jan 22: A grand Shobha Yatra was taken out in Nowshera to observe the 649th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji, drawing large participation from devotees.
Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Dr Farooq Abdullah, along with Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, attended the religious event and sought the blessings of Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj.
Their presence added to the significance of the occasion and reflected the spirit of communal harmony and reverence for the teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji.
To ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Shobha Yatra, elaborate security arrangements were put in place by the administration.
Police and security personnel were deployed along the route to regulate traffic and maintain law and order, allowing the procession to pass off without any untoward incident.
The event concluded peacefully amidst devotional fervour, with participants paying rich tributes to Shri Guru Ravidas Ji and reaffirming their commitment to his teachings of equality, unity and social harmony.
