
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday informed the Legislative Assembly that centrally sponsored schemes under the Smart City Mission have been fully implemented in the Union Territory.
Replying to an unstarred question (A.Q. No. 892) by MLA Ali Mohammad Sagar, the government said it is “not a fact” that Smart City Mission (SCM) projects have not been fully executed in JK.
The government further shared city-wise details of funds sanctioned and utilised under the mission. In Jammu city, an amount of Rs 980 crore was sanctioned, out of which Rs 921 crore has been utilised. Similarly, in Srinagar, Rs 903.90 crore was sanctioned, with Rs 902.78 crore already spent.
The reply was furnished by the Chief Minister, who is also the Minister-in-Charge of the Housing and Urban Development Department.
