Govt approves selection list for Outstanding Sportspersons

Srinagar, Feb 03: The government of Jammu and Kashmir has approved the selection list for Outstanding Sportspersons after much anticipation, clearing the way of 225 “talented athletes” to move forward to the next stage of their sporting journey.

In a press statement, J&K minister Satish Sharma while expressing his excitement said, “Delighted to announce approval to the Selection List for Outstanding Sportspersons by the Government of J&K.” Adding, the minister said that “After much anticipation, our 225 talented athletes can now move forward to the next stage of their journey.”

Sharma exclaimed that sports in J&K is growing stronger than ever.

Satish Sharma also expressed his gratitude to the J&K CM, Omar Abdullah, for his “unwavering support and prompt approval” to the selection list.

“I extend my sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Omar Abdullah ji, for his unwavering support and prompt approval to the Selection List, and to the dedicated officers whose tireless efforts made this possible.” He said
