Good News: JK Police Constable Posts PET/ PST Notice

Shortlisting of candidates for Conduct of Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET) for the post of Constables
(Armed/IRP/SDRF/Executive), advertised vide Notification No. 01 of 2024, Item Nos. 01, 02, 05, 06 in the Home Department.

NOTICE

Whereas, the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) Conducted OMR based written examination for the post of Constables (Armed/IRP/SDRF/Executive), Home Department, advertised vide Notification No. 01 of 2024, Item Nos. 01, 02, 05, 06, on 01-12-2024; and

Whereas, the result/scoresheet for the above said examination was notified vide Notification No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)/36/2024-03 (7593651), dated: 15-01-2025; and

Whereas, as per S.O. 214 dated: 01* July, 2021 of the Home Department, the number of candidates to be selected for appearing in the Physical Standard Test (PST) shall be six times the total number of vacancies to be filled up in each category and the candidates
who meet the physical standards shall be required to undergo the Physical Endurance Test (PET), as per the standards provided there in.

Whereas, the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) intends to conduct the PST/PET of the eligible shortlisted candidates, tentatively from 3rd week of the month of August 2025 at Srinagar and from 3rd week of the month of September at Jammu.

Accordingly, the candidates who are falling in the consideration zone for conduct of the PST/PET for the aforementioned posts have been shortlisted for appearing in PST/PET and are hereby notified as given in Annexure “A” to this notice.

Further details including the exact dates and venue of PST/PET shall be notified separately.

It is further notified that:

i. Mere calling a candidate for the PST/PET does not confer right upon him/her for selection and that he/she has to fulfil other eligibility conditions, as laid down and decision of the Board in this regard shall be final.

ii. The PST/PET shall be of qualifying nature only.

iii. A candidate, who fails to appear in the PST/PET on the given date, shall forfeit his/her right of consideration at any stage.

iv. Candidates are advised to bring Admit Card, one original photo ID Proof i.e. Aadhar card/Voter Card/Pan Card/Passport etc. mandatorily on the day of PST/PET.

v. In case of any deficiency with reference to eligibility etc., proved at the time of PST/PET, the candidate shall not be allowed to appear in the PST/PET.
