GoI must soon bring bill for restoration of J&K’s statehood: MLA Thanamandi

Rajouri, Jul 10: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Thanamandi, Muzaffar Iqbal Khan has requested Govt of India to bring bill for restoration of statehood in J&K in upcoming monsoon season of Parliament. He stated that restoration of statehood is burning demand and expectation of entire population of J&K.

Khan was talking to media persons on the sidelines of a meeting that he convened at Dr Raj Kumar Thappa memorial conference hall of Dak Bunglow Rajouri.

The MLA said that majority of the people attending the meet presented the demand for restoration of statehood in J&K.

“I request Government of India to bring bill in upcoming monsoon session of Parliament and to ensure restoration of statehood without any further delay as it (delay) can spark protest across J&K.” he said.
