GOC 15 Corps reviews counter terrorism grid in North Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 1: To bolster security operations, the Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava conducted a comprehensive review of the counter terrorism grid in north Kashmir on Tuesday.

The review was aimed at assessing the operational dynamics, prevailing security situation, and the combat readiness of the troops actively engaged in safeguarding the area against militant activities.

During the detailed briefing, the Commander was provided with an in-depth overview of the current security landscape, including intelligence inputs, recent operational successes, and ongoing challenges. The focus was on ensuring that the forces remain agile, responsive, and well-prepared to tackle any emerging threats effectively.

Interacting with the troops on the ground, the Corps Commander underscored the critical importance of operational excellence, strategic foresight, and continuous, rigorous training.

He highlighted that the evolving nature of security threats requires constant vigilance and adaptability, and commended the forces for their dedication and professionalism in maintaining peace and stability in a sensitive and challenging environment.

In his address, the Corps Commander stressed that the success of counter terrorism operations hinges not only on superior firepower but also on the ability to anticipate enemy moves, execute well-planned strategies, and maintain high morale among troops. He called upon all personnel to remain committed to the mission of securing the region and ensuring the safety of civilians.
