GMC Srinagar Selection List of SRs in Various Departments

(1) Selection List for the tenure post of Senior Residents in various Departments of GMC Srinagar

Whereas; vide Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 Dated. 20.06.2024 Criteria/Policy Guidelines for Eligibility/Selection were framed by the Administrative Department, Health and Medical Education for eligibility/selection of the tenured positions of Senior Residents/Tutors in all the Government Medical Colleges; and

Whereas; after issuance of the aforesaid guidelines, this office vide Advertisement Notice issued under No. 08 of 2025 Dated. 05.06.2025 invited applications from the eligible candidates possessing requisite qualification for filling up of tenure posts of Senior Resident (In-service/not In-service doctors) in the various disciplines of Government Medical College, Srinagar; and

Whereas; in response to the aforesaid Advertisement Notice, this office has received 12 application forms in 06 departments/disciplines; and

Whereas; on scrutiny of application forms, it was found that in the following disciplines/departments, the number of applications are less than or equal to the vacant positions :

Discipline : 
1. Anesthesiology
2. Cardiology
3. Community Medicine
4. Medicine
5. Plastic and Re-Constructive Surgery
6. Psychiatry

(2) Selection of SRs in Biochemistry and CVTS departments of GMC Srinagar

Whereas; vide Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 Dated. 20.06.2024 Criteria/Policy Guidelines for Eligibility/Selection were framed by the Administrative Department, Health and Medical Education for eligibility/selection of the tenured positions of Senior Residents/Tutors in all the Government Medical Colleges; and

Whereas; after issuance of the aforesaid guidelines, this office vide Advertisement Notice issued under No. 07 of 2025 Dated. 26.05.2025 invited applications from the eligible candidates possessing requisite qualification for filling up tenure posts of Senior Resident/Tutor (In-service/not In-service doctors) in the various disciplines of Government Medical College, Srinagar; and

Whereas; in response to the aforesaid Advertisement Notice, this office has received 13 application forms in 05 departments/disciplines; and

Whereas; direct selection has been already made vide this office Notification No. 07-RA of 2025 Dated. 05-06-2025 in the department of Plastic and Re-Constructive Surgery; and

Whereas; consequent upon withdrawal of candidature by 01 candidate in the department of CVTS and 01 candidate has submitted
resignation in the department of Biochemistry; and

Whereas; on scrutiny of application forms, it was found that in the following 02 disciplines/departments, the number of applications are less than or equal to the vacant positions

(3) Selection of Senior Resident in Surgical Gastroenterology department of GMC Srinagar

Whereas; vide Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 Dated. 20.06.2024 Criteria/Policy Guidelines for Eligibility/Selection were framed by the Administrative Department, Health and Medical Education for eligibility/selection of the tenured positions of Senior Residents/Tutors in all the Government Medical Colleges; and

Whereas; after issuance of the aforesaid guidelines, this office vide Advertisement Notice issued under No. 06 of 2025 Dated. 10.05.2025 invited applications from the eligible candidates possessing requisite qualification for filling up of tenure posts of Senior Resident/Tutor(Inservice/not In-service doctors) in the various disciplines of Government Medical College, Srinagar; and

Whereas; in response to the aforesaid Advertisement Notice, this office has received 48 application forms in 11 departments/disciplines; and

Whereas; direct selection has been already made vide this office Notification No. 04-RA of 2025 Dated. 26-05-2025 in the 09 departments; and

Whereas; consequent upon withdrawal of candidature by 02 candidates in the department of Surgical Gastroenterology and 01 more
vacancy occurred due to resignation in the respective department; and

Whereas; on scrutiny of application forms, it was found that in the Surgical Gastroenterology department, the number of applications is less than or equal to the vacant positions; and

Whereas; in terms of Government Order NO. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 Dated. 20.06.2024 there is no need to conduct written tests for selection purpose in the discipline where the number of applications is less than or equal to the posts advertised
