Srinagar, Feb 7: Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir on Saturday urged party leaders and senior workers to intensify their political and public outreach activities in order to remain closely connected with the masses at the grassroots level.

He was addressing a crucial party meeting in Jammu, which was attended by leaders and senior workers. Mir accused that the ruling NC has “completely failed” to fulfil the promises it made to the people of J&K at the time of the Assembly elections. He said that the ruling party “misled people with false promises” and after securing a huge mandate, “completely forgot” its poll promises.

Mir said that the Apni Party has the role of an opposition and will play it vigorously by highlighting pressing public issues and grievances. He urged his colleagues to remain in close contact with the masses. He reiterated the Apni Party’s demand for the restoration of statehood and demanded the immediate holding of Panchayat and ULB.
