Ganderbal Murder: Police Arrest Two Accused

SRINAGAR: Police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal have arrested two persons in connection with the alleged murder case of 22-year-old youth in kangan area on Wednesday.

According to police statement, the accused killed the victim and later dumped the body into a canal. Following extensive searches, the body was recovered and handed over to the family after medico-legal formalities. A case under FIR No. 64/2025, U/S 103 (1) BNS has been registered at PS Kangan.

Investigators also revealed that a wire was allegedly used in the crime. One of the victim’s close friends has emerged as a key eyewitness, providing crucial testimony that helped crack the case.

Senior Superintendent of Police Ganderbal, Khalil Ahmad Poswal (JKPS), said further investigation is under way to expose all those involved. He reaffirmed that police remain committed to ensuring justice and taking strict action against perpetrators of such heinous crimes.
