Fresh Western Disturbance to Bring Rain, Snow to Jammu Kashmir | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is set to experience unsettled weather from tomorrow as a fresh Western Disturbance moves across the region, bringing rain to parts of the Kashmir plains and snowfall to higher altitudes, officials said.

Gusty winds, thunderstorms, and the possibility of isolated hailstorms are also expected to affect various areas in both Kashmir and Jammu, the meteorological department added.

According to the Kashmir Weather Watch, residents are advised to remain cautious and stay updated with local weather alerts, as the adverse conditions could impact daily life, road travel, and air transportation.

Authorities have urged commuters to exercise care, particularly in higher reaches where snow accumulation may make travel hazardous. Farmers and tourism operators in the valley have been advised to prepare for intermittent precipitation that may affect routine activities.
