Former J&K Governor Satyapal Malik Passes Away – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: Satya Pal Malik, former Governor of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, passed away. He was 79.

As per reports, Malik was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi, and was undergoing dialysis due to kidney problems, where he eventually passed away this afternoon.

Concerns about his deteriorating health were widely reported in the weeks leading up to his passing.

Coincidentally, Malik has passed away on the day when he oversaw central government’s decision to revoke Article 370, 35A besides bifurcating the state of Jammu and Kashmir into separate union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, as Governor.
