SRINAGAR: A fire broke out in the Habbakadal area of Srinagar district in central Kashmir late Tuesday evening, engulfing multiple residential houses, officials said.

Fire and emergency authorities reported that the blaze erupted near the Nyama Sahib shrine, involving two to three homes. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Teams have rushed to the scene and are working to control the flames and prevent the fire from spreading in the densely populated locality.
