SRINAGAR: An early morning blaze erupted at main market at Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday damaging over four shops including hotel.
According to initial reports, the blaze began in the wee hours of Tuesday morning thus damaging four structures including hotel Sindh Hill, however no casualties or serious injuries have been reported so far.
“We heard a loud crackling sound and saw smoke rising from one of the shop. It all happened so fast,” said Mashooq Ahmad, Kangan resident . “The fire spread before anyone could do much and damaged the four structures along with hotel.” he added.
Meanwhile police has reached to the spot and launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.
