Fire Breaks in Jammu Kashmir’s Srinagar

SRINAGAR: A three-storey residential structure was engulfed in a massive fire that broke out at Babdem near Gandhi College in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district late on Monday night.

As per the reports, the blaze spread rapidly through the house, drawing an immediate response from the Fire and Emergency Services Department.

Firefighters, assisted by residents, made sustained efforts to bring the flames under control, reports said.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. No loss of life or injury has been reported so far, while firefighting operations were continuing till late in the night, though the blaze was largely contained. (KNC)
