Festivals spread message of humanity, peace: Karra

Jammu, Jan 13: Congress party on Tuesday celebrated the festival of Lohri at PCC HQ Shahedi Chowk Jammu in a traditional manner.

Speaking to reporters, JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra extended greetings to people in the pious occasion of Lohri festival and said that all festivals are celebrated together by the people of all faiths,as every religion and festival gives the message of joy, happiness, togetherness and foster brotherhood and humanity.

He said that every festival removes hatred and divisiveness and said politics of hate should be defeated to create an atmosphere of love,affection and togetherness. He hoped that this festival burns all hatred and create sense of harmony and brotherhood in the society, as per a press release.

Karra was the chief guest while working president Raman Bhalla was guest of honor in the celebrations organised by JKPCC in collaborations with DCC Jammu Urban led by  former minister Yogesh Sawhney and DCC Jammu Rural led by former AICC Secretary Neeraj Kundan and attended by Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma.
