
Srinagar, Feb 24: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday prayed for the success of the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team in the Ranji Trophy final, describing their historic run to the summit clash as a moment of pride for the entire region.
Speaking to reporters, Abdullah extended his best wishes to the team as it began its maiden Ranji Trophy final at the Hubli Cricket Ground.
“I wish them good luck and pray to Allah for their success. It is a great achievement that the J&K team has reached the Ranji Trophy final,” he said.
Expressing hope for a memorable outcome, the National Conference president added that he hoped the team would go on to lift the prestigious title.
