SRINAGAR: In view of increased public movement during Eid-ul-Adha, police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have installed safety and awareness banners at vulnerable locations along the banks of Nallah Sindh to prevent accidents and ensure public safety.

The precautionary measure has been taken amid heightened footfall at picnic spots, riverbanks and tourist destinations during the festive occasion.

The banners carry key advisories aimed at sensitising tourists, local residents and visitors about the importance of adhering to safety guidelines while visiting water bodies. The public has been urged to avoid venturing into deep waters, refrain from risky activities near the river, and ensure strict supervision of children during outings.

Ganderbal Police have appealed to people to cooperate with the administration and strictly follow safety instructions to ensure a safe, peaceful and incident-free Eid-ul-Adha across the district.
