EPFO highlights PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana at Jammu outreach

Jammu, Aug 27: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) on Wednesday organised its outreach programme *Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0* in Jammu, focusing on awareness around the newly launched Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY).

The programme, held at Ravenbhel Biotech, Bari Brahmna, Samba, was led by Regional PF Commissioner-II Naresh Kumar Yadav, with Accounts Officer Jatin Gupta as the District Nodal Officer. More than 20 employers and employees attended the session.

The awareness drive centred on the objectives and benefits of PMVBRY, which has an outlay of Rs 1 lakh crore and aims to generate 3.5 crore employment opportunities over two years starting August 1, 2025. For the manufacturing sector, benefits will extend up to four years.

“Employers must play a vital role in ensuring social security coverage and fostering formal employment,” Yadav said, while encouraging stakeholders to take advantage of the scheme.

The event also addressed member-centric services such as UAN activation, KYC updation, joint declaration, and bank account linking. Queries from participants were resolved on the spot.

Key association representatives including Vikas Sharma (Executive HR), Kamal Sharma (Assistant Manager Accounts) and Abhimanyu Jasrotia (HR) also attended.

EPFO officials said the initiative reinforced awareness of the new scheme and strengthened stakeholder engagement in the Jammu division.
