Entrepreneur Tahir Lone Joins PDP in Presence of Mehbooba Mufti

SRINAGAR: Entrepreneur and owner of the Makeover business chain, Tahir Lone, formally joined the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday, in a move seen as a significant addition to the party’s public outreach and political consolidation.

Lone was welcomed into the party by former Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti during a joining ceremony held at the party’s Srinagar office. A respected figure in the local business community, Lone has gained recognition for his entrepreneurial contributions and public engagement.

Speaking at the event, Mehbooba Mufti expressed confidence that the inclusion of credible voices like Lone’s would bolster the PDP’s commitment to representing the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Tahir Lone, in his address, praised Mufti for her steadfast advocacy for the rights and dignity of the people, particularly during difficult political periods. He said it was her courage and leadership that inspired him to associate with the PDP and contribute to its vision for a just, peaceful, and progressive Jammu and Kashmir.
