SRINAGAR: Eight people, including six tourists from Delhi, sustained injuries after a collision between a truck and a tempo on the Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri (SSG) road near Kokran bridge on Sunday, officials said.
An official said that that the accident occurred at around 6:20 pm when a truck/trailer collided with a tempo. The injured were immediately shifted to PHC Sonamarg for treatment.
The injured tourists have been identified as residents of Delhi. While drivers identified as residents of Doda involved in the accident were also injured.
Local police and Tourist Police immediately reached the spot and took up necessary rescue measures. (KNC)
