SRINAGAR: An earthquake was felt in parts of Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of Friday, with tremors reported at around 2:46 am.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property, although the tremor was felt in several areas including Srinagar district.

Details regarding the magnitude and epicentre of the earthquake were awaited at the time of filing this report.
