Drug peddler held with contraband substance in Kulgam: Police

Srinagar, Sep 04: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday arrested a drug peddler in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

According to police statement, a police team from Police Post Mirbazar during patrolling near Sumo Stand Bumthan, arrested a drug peddler identified as Mohd Mubarak, son of Sukar Ali, resident of JJ Colony, Bawana, Delhi. Upon search, 10 grams of heroin-like contraband substance was recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, a case under FIR No. 177/2025, under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Qazigund. Investigation into the matter is going on.
