Defence Institute of High Altitude Research has released a walk-in interview notification for engagement of research manpower. DIHAR functions under the Defence Research and Development Organisation and is located in the Leh-Ladakh region.

Eligibility Criteria of DRDO DIHAR Vacancies

Junior Research Fellow	B.Tech in first division with valid GATE score or M.Tech in first division	Up to 28 Years
Research Associate	M.Tech with 3 years research or teaching experience and one SCI journal paper	Up to 35 Years

Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.

Discipline-wise Qualification Details

Junior Research Fellow posts are available in Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science and related disciplines.

Research Associate posts are available in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology.

Fellowship Benefits

Junior Research Fellows will receive a monthly fellowship of Rs. 37,000 plus HRA for an initial period of two years. The tenure may be extended up to five years based on performance.

Research Associates will receive a monthly fellowship of Rs. 67,000 plus HRA for a maximum tenure of two years.

General Conditions

The engagement is purely project based and does not provide any claim for permanent absorption in DRDO. Candidates working in Government, PSU or Autonomous bodies must produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.

Applicants must be medically fit and willing to work in high-altitude conditions of the Leh-Ladakh region. No TA or DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining the post.
