Dr Farooq recalls supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS)

Srinagar, Jul 5: National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah on the solemn observance of Youm-e-Ashura, paid rich tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his 72 revered companions, recalling their ultimate sacrifice at the Battle of Karbala as a timeless symbol of courage, faith, and resistance against tyranny.

In a statement , Dr Farooq said that the unparalleled sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Aali Muqam (AS) and his companions remains a guiding light for all humanity.

“Imam Hussain (AS) is not the legacy of a particular sect, but a universal figure whose steadfastness, sacrifice, and moral integrity continue to inspire generations. His resistance against injustice and oppression carries an eternal message of hope, justice, and dignity,” he said.
