District Police Kupwara Honour Martyrs’ Families on Republic Day – Alfaaz – The Words

Kupwara: District Police Kupwara observed Republic Day by paying tributes to martyrs and extending solidarity to their families across the district.

As part of the initiative, police officers visited the residences of martyrs’ families and conveyed Republic Day greetings. The visits were aimed at acknowledging the sacrifices made by the fallen personnel and reaffirming the force’s support to their families.

Among those visited, as per Alfaaz – The Words, were the bereaved family of SIA Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq at Muqam-e-Shawali Drugmulla. Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq was among those nine persons who lost their lives in an accidental blast at Nowgam in November 2025. Police officials interacted with the family and expressed deep respect for his service and sacrifice.

Officials said the initiative reflects the commitment of District Police Kupwara to honour the memory of martyrs and stand with their families. They said the courage and dedication of fallen personnel continue to inspire the force in the discharge of its duties towards public safety and national security.
