District Kulgam Carrom Championship 2025-26 opens at Quimoh

Kulgam, Sep 2: The District Kulgam Carrom Championship 2025-26 was inaugurated at the Indoor Sports Complex in Quimoh, with around 90 players competing across four categories, organisers said.

As per a statement, issued on Tuesday, the event was declared open by Bashir Ahmad, Manager of the Indoor Sports Complex Quimoh Kulgam, in the presence of Arif Sultan Khan, Treasurer of the J&K Carrom Association, Gowhar Ahmad, Joint Secretary of the District Kulgam Carrom Association, and other dignitaries and members of the District Carrom Association Kulgam & J&K Carrom Association.

The championship, organised under the initiative “My Youth My Pride” of the J&K Sports Council, witnessed enthusiastic participation with around 90 players competing across four different categories.

The J&K Carrom Association, in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, remains committed to promoting the game of carrom and will continue to organise district-level events across the Union Territory.
