District Admin Kupwara Puts Snow Clearance Mechanism on High Alert Ahead of Forecast Snowfall – Alfaaz – The Words

Kupwara: In view of an advisory forecasting fresh snowfall in the district, the District Administration Kupwara has placed all snow clearance and winter response mechanisms on high alert to ensure uninterrupted essential services and public safety.

The Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, has issued clear directions to all concerned departments to maintain full preparedness and ensure a prompt and coordinated response during snowfall. Snow clearance machinery, including snow ploughs and other mechanical equipment, has been positioned at strategic locations across the district to effectively deal with any exigency.

Officials have been instructed to strengthen inter-departmental coordination to ensure that major highways, link roads, and other vital routes remain functional, with particular emphasis on maintaining access for emergency and essential services. Field staff have also been directed to remain vigilant and respond swiftly as soon as snowfall commences.

Reiterating its commitment to minimizing inconvenience to the public during the winter season, the District Administration has urged residents to cooperate with authorities and strictly adhere to advisories issued from time to time.
