Srinagar, Aug 27: Director SKIMS & EOSG, Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie, on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting with all heads of hospital service areas to review preparedness measures in view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions.
Prof. Ganie directed all service heads to remain on high alert and ensure availability of designated staff from Emergency, Engineering Wing, Security, and Critical Patient Care Services within the hospital premises to maintain uninterrupted functioning of essential services. He stressed the need for close coordination with the SKIMS Control Room for seamless operations in case of emergencies.
During the meeting, the Additional Director SKIMS, Medical Superintendent, HOD Hospital Administration, Incharge Engineering Wing, Incharge IT, and Incharge Security briefed the Director about the readiness and backup plans in place to deal with any eventuality.
The Director also asked the Principal SKIMS Medical College to submit requirements, if any, for better coordination and facilitation. “As the premier tertiary care centre of J&K, SKIMS serves as the nerve centre during any disaster situation and will continue to remain at the forefront of emergency response,” Prof. Ganie said.
