Dialysis, Maxillofacial units inaugurated at Amandeep BR Medicity Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 1: Amandeep BR Medicity Srinagar marked a significant step forward in expanding its specialised healthcare services with the inauguration of two new departments – Dialysis and Nephrology, and Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery.

A statement of the Amandeep BR Medicity issued here said that the inauguration ceremony was led by the founder and Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon of Amandeep Hospital Group, Dr Avtar Singh, in the presence of the Srinagar medical team.

The Dialysis and Nephrology unit will be headed by Senior Consultant in Nephrology, Dr Hilal Malla, known for his experience in managing renal disorders and dialysis care. Simultaneously, the Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery Department was formally launched under the leadership of Dr Abid Majeed Rather, a specialist in oral and maxillofacial procedures. Dr Rather completed his BDS from Jammu University and MDS from PGIMER Chandigarh, followed by a senior residency at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

“With the inauguration of these advanced departments, we continue our mission to deliver accessible, world-class healthcare under one roof,” Dr Avtar Singh said. “Our focus remains on specialised care, cutting-edge technology, and patient-centric services.” The new facilities are expected to strengthen the hospital’s capacity to deliver high-quality care to patients suffering from kidney-related ailments and those requiring complex dental and facial surgeries, bringing expert treatment closer to home for residents of Srinagar and surrounding areas.
