DGP Prabhat Reviews Security Situation in Ganderbal, Inaugurates Multi Utility Centre – Alfaaz – The Words

Ganderbal: Director General of Police Jammu and Kashmir Nalin Prabhat on Tuesday chaired a high level security review meeting at the District Police Office Ganderbal to assess the prevailing law and order situation, counter terror preparedness, and arrangements for Republic Day 2026.

The meeting was attended by Special DGP Coordination SJM Gillani, IGP Kashmir Zone VK Birdi, DIG Central Kashmir Range Rajiv Pandey, SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal, along with gazetted officers, SHOs, and district officers.

The DGP reviewed security measures in detail, including crime control, counter terror operations, and area domination plans. He directed officers to maintain heightened alertness, strengthen intelligence based operations, and ensure foolproof security planning to guarantee peaceful and incident free Republic Day celebrations.

Addressing the officers, DGP Prabhat reiterated zero tolerance towards anti national activities. He instructed the police to act firmly against elements posing a threat to public safety, peace, and stability, while maintaining a people friendly policing approach.

The DGP praised the performance of Ganderbal Police and urged officers to continue working with professionalism, discipline, and commitment to uphold the rule of law and provide a secure environment to the people.

Earlier, the DGP also inaugurated a Multi Utility Centre in Ganderbal, aimed at improving operational efficiency and strengthening public service delivery by the police.
