DGP, IGP Visit Nowgam Police Station for On-Spot Assessment After Accidental Blast – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: Senior officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday visited Police Station Nowgam to assess the situation following the overnight accidental explosion.

J&K Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat reached the site early, reviewed the damage, and briefed officers on the ground before departing.

Inspector General of Police Kashmir, Vidhi Kumar Birdi, also arrived in the morning to obtain a detailed firsthand assessment of the circumstances surrounding the blast.

Meanwhile, J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat is expected to brief media at 10am in Srinagar, followed by MHA presser at 10:30 am in New Delhi.

As per officials, a powerful explosion resulted in nine fatalities and left 29 others injured.
